This project consists of the renovation of the existing Bertha Port park. For years a desolate quarter-acre sandy lot in the heart of West Oakland, it was transformed into an inviting neighborhood play area for local children. The mack5 scope for TPL included cost plans/estimates and construction management. mack5 worked hard to extract best value for the relatively small budget project by providing a series of design alternative costs, getting the project out to bid and controlling costs through the project to its very successful grand opening.
