The new parking structure is being constructed in two phases. The first phase consists of reconfiguring the surface parking lot south of Veterans Way and east of the future garage and constructing a trash enclosure and electrical infrastructure for future electric vehicle charging stations. The second phase involves building the four-level, 452 space garage, constructing a new pedestrian path between First Street and the garage, and extending the pedestrian path on the east side of the surface lot. Additional Phase 2 improvements include an access road south of the garage, landscaping north of the garage on Veterans Way, surface lot improvements connecting the garage to the Phase 1 lot, installing a crosswalk at Veterans Way and L Street, and improvements along the property lines between the businesses and the garage.
