The historic single-screen theater was damaged by fire, including roof collapse and substantial loss to lobby/balcony and required a phased rehabilitation. Phase 1 included the seismic strengthening/retrofit and new roof structure/roofing of the building. Phase 2 is the substantial reconstruction restoration of the auditorium, balcony and lobby spaces including existing base finishes and character-defining features, new mechanical and electrical systems, accessibility upgrades, and a sustainability strategy based on LEED Silver targets.
