mack5 was responsible for two phases of work at the Museum. The first was to assist in developing a long-range plan and addressing immediate project needs; the second was to implement the master plan developed during Phase 1. This renovation took the original Kevin Roche (1982 Pritzker Architecture Award Winner) design to the next level. The gallery levels were upgraded, gift shop and cafe were enlarged, large Oak Street entry courtyard was protected and the top-level space - reserved for art - was restored to the calm essence of the original Roche design. mack5 delivered complete pre-construction services in adherence to the schedule and developed a budget for the project. The project bid successfully and was reconciled with the General Contractor to ensure scope and quality.
