Construction Management

Owner: City of Richmond

Architect: Placeworks Landscape Architects

Construction Value: $3,500,000

Project Size: 1.1 miles

The first phase of the Richmond Wellness Trail, which will connect Richmond BART/Amtrak to the shoreline and ferry, is a new 1.1 mile, concrete 2-way cycle track along Marina Way South, that will transform residential streets into a multi-use green infrastructure corridor. The project includes demolition of existing concrete, traffic circle and median installation, improved curb ramps, striping and crosswalks, solar lights and signage, irrigation tie-ins, planting, and traffic signals.

The project has funding from California Natural Resources Agency, Strategic Growth Council, City of Richmond, and The Trust for Public Land. Community Partners include Groundwork Richmond, The Watershed Project, Rich City Rides, National Parks Service, and Kaiser Permanente.
