This project consists of the renovation of the existing Potrero Hill Playground in San Francisco. The revitalization effort focused around community outreach and organizing process that encouraged local families to participate in turning their run-down playground into a safe and attractive place to gather and recreate. The scope of work included the demolition of old play equipment, excavation, grading, concrete work, chain link fencing, installation of new playground equipment, site furnishing, irrigation system, landscaping and poured in place rubber resilient surfacing. mack5 managed all aspects of the project including coordinating the engagement of the San Francisco Conservation Corps for community involvement by hiring workers for demolition and construction.
